The Quick (Q) series is probably more suitable for beginners.  It
starts with really basic stuff (like learning to use only the keys on
the home row) and progresses very slowly (to using only the second
finger to type 'i' and 'e' in addition to the home row keys).  It is
intended for absolute beginners to get to learn touch typing.

The Long (R) series, on the other hand, is centred around *practising*
touch typing and throws you right in at the deep end (i.e., typing out
full sentences).
