Can you publish your changes in a ‘mipsel64-port’ branch?  I guess
Andreas will be happy to give it a spin.  ;-)

If the binaries happen to work well, we’ll have to upload them to
alpha.gnu.org like the others.  Can you already upload them somewhere so
that Andreas can try to run them?
