Details:
When using a widescreen monitor, the rendered screen display is stretched
horizontally.
On a 1680x1050 display, the tiger.eps picture is about 30% wider than the
same file displayed with e.g. kghostview on the same monitor. It happens with
every file, PS or PDF.
That stretch is about the same factor as 1680x1050 is to 1280x1024. Is there
an implicit assumption somewhere in gv that the display ratio is 5:4?
This is on openSUSE 11.1 with GPL Ghostscript 8.62 and gv 3.6.3, but I'm
pretty sure it was the same on openSUSE 10.3 and gv 3.5.8.
