Thanks for the explanation, Marcus. I don't know if it's worth moving
what I'm doing to the OSKit environment, but at least it gives me
another source of inspiration.
(I had hoped it would save me from having to mess with termio, but a
search of the OSKit source using `find unix posix -type f |xargs grep
tcgetattr' was negative.)
