I am using the newest glibc and Hurd packages. Before I upgraded I
could not reproduce this problem.
Since I just hosed my usual GNU/Hurd machine, I can't say what the
behaviour would be in a recent CVS version of glibc. But since I
couldn't reproduce it after having updated glibc, I think the problem
has disapeard from the face of this world.
I would like to know what really went wrong, but don't feel
particulary motivated to hunt through ChangeLog's and the stuff. But
if you could compile ext2fs.static against a new version of glibc from
CVS, and tell us what is going on then that would be nice.
In short, this bug is dead.
