If you happen to be familiar with Makefiles, you might be able to help
right now -- presently it needs a way to build the linux26 and/or
freebsd DDEs on Hurd :-)

Indeed, ACPI is a pain. That's one of the things we'd definitely want to
borrow from other systems... Along with most of the other drivers :-)
