Hi,
Is the list of translators on the web up to date?
→ http://www.bddebian.com/~hurd-web/hurd/translator/
Moreover: Which of these are actually usable (build and work)?
To avoid forcing everyone to look up the site:
Existing Translators
* auth
* exec
* pfinet
* pflocal
* hostmux
* storeio
* ext2fs
* fatfs
* magic
* mboxfs
* unionfs
* xmlfs
* ...
Translators Being Under Development
* random
* emailfs -- email as a filesystem
* cvsfs
* tmpfs
* procfs
* nsmux
* ...
Reason for asking: I think it would be great to have a LiveCD with all usable
translators in it, including a tutorial which explains what you can do with
them.
That’s also something I’d like to contribute to, since I could just combine
three things I like: learning new way to use the Hurd, helping people
understand the Hurd and help getting people to try the Hurd (again).
Best wishes,
Arne
PS: That’s the same for other free stuff I like – one similar thing I did is
the Mercurial guide: http://mercurial.selenic.com/guide
PPS: Great. I have my kmail back, and now I miss the editing features from
emacs ;-)
