1) Please include only the relevent sections and include them inline. 
If you're not sure, generally the last 10 lines or so are enough, and
maybe the configure at the top.

3) I see what the problem is - gnulib has been changing its structure
recently to cope with this problem (It's difficult to update all the
needed files correctly.  I'll wait a week to make sure that there's no
other major bugs and upload 1.4.3.
