So my six dollar haircut looks a little more stupid than usual.
So my six dollar haircut looks a little more stupid than usual.
Thanks to my impeccable choice in thick rugby shirts, I wouldn't have to
get tetanus or rabies shots. Our stewardess was about as likely to join
the 'Mile-High Club' as I am to help a nearby child with his oxygen
mask before securing mine.
I was in a booth, with one of my needs-no-help friends across from me,
chatting up a slim preppy brunette.

I may look pretty foolish in the morning, but when the weather turns in
the afternoon, I'll be the one having the last laugh. She used it to
point out snippets of our writing assignments that had lost impact
through common use, phrases that weren't quite 'cliche', but didn't grab
the readers' attention, either. She knows my 'don't ask, don't answer'
doorbell policy. Maybe he or she doesn't foot the bill for the whole
trip, or sets limits on how many burgers and beers and bubble-boobed
hookers the company's petty cash fund can handle. I honestly thought the
woman was going to take him up to the cockpit and give him a spanking.
He was there to check our water heater. Just a little boost to get the
blood flowing and shake out the creaks.
Juicy details at eleven!
And kept my eyes locked on the game, hoping desperately for that passing
out that seemed to be imminent beside me. Either way, it's all good. But
it's a little odd that my parking pass didn't work in the garage this
morning. If someone behind me wants the ball, I won't see the signals.
As you might imagine. Like I'm going to pony up for extra nights on the
left coast, when my wife's still back in Boston.
I'll strip out of the winter clothes to reveal shorts and a T-shirt
underneath, and stay nice and cool.
The missus bought a bag of candy, and we designated a bowl that we could
probably live without.
So a few high-octane tunes in the car on the way to the gym should be
just the thing. I wouldn't be surprised at a plague of locusts, so the
little bastards could wriggle in there and gnaw at my kneecaps.
That ought to get the ladies talking. Around ten, I awoke to a loud
knock on the door.
It's just that it's a little creepy, too.
And lately, that bitch has had my number. Luckily, we'd gained back
three hours and it was still dinner time, according to the west coast.
Just a little boost to get the blood flowing and shake out the creaks.
We were poor, yes, but we were working toward better times ahead. And
our flagpole-related accidents on the court are way up. As I slipped
into a sweet food coma, I could just make out the smoke escaping my
boss' collar as he dropped his AmEx for the check.
Maybe he or she doesn't foot the bill for the whole trip, or sets limits
on how many burgers and beers and bubble-boobed hookers the company's
petty cash fund can handle. And of course, they're saving money by
staying in, which they'll be sorely needing for the next several
decades. I poured another beer from the pitcher, and focused on the
game.
We had a group of three or four intrepid young near-penniless guys and
gals that would gather together on weekends for whatever fun, food, and
foolishness we could afford.
I honestly thought the woman was going to take him up to the cockpit and
give him a spanking. The flight out was fairly empty, and one of the
guys I was travelling with ended up with a row of seats all to himself,
right in front of mine. Sometimes, it just works out that way. Your
local law enforcement codes may vary.
I waited a half an hour, and pinged his button again. I wrote a post
about it. I'll catch up with you this weekend.
