Currently not. It would have to be at least a bit smart, too, to avoid
passing through stuff like -Bstatic etc.

Not if it was passed in $CC, as in
./configure CC='gcc -B /foo'
which seems only prudent, as it makes little sense to sometimes use -B
and sometimes not use it within one build, AFAICS.
Is there any problem you have encountered?
