Hello:
I just discovered something interesting - maybe not a bug but perhaps something
worth noting. I hope this is not redundant. When entering chords (\chordmode)
above the melody in 4/4, a chord lasting an entire bar can be given a value of 1
(say c1:7 where the 1 indicates the length of the bar, right?). If the time
changes from 4/4 to 5/4 and a chord is to last an entire bar, it must be entered
twice with two time values that give it the length of the bar: (c1:7 and c4:7).
Otherwise all susequent chord values and their positions in their respective
bars will be corrupted. When the time returns back to 4/4 all chord time
intervals return to normal.
Is there something that I am missing?
Also, a question. Jazz pieces are sometimes noted as AABA or something of that
nature to inticate sections of the pieces and the sequential nature of the
piece. Is there a way to label sections? Can the rehearal marks be used for
this? Is there another way?
Regards,
Lawrence Whitby
