http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1322 I'm with Carl, except I think I'd prefer \new to continue working if the context is named, /provided/ that the context does not exist. If the namedcontext does exist I'd prefer \new to fail (although maybe it would be more in keeping with the LilyPond style if it worked as if it were \context but gave a warning.)
