Have you heard from Janek yet?  Our development process is somewhat "iffy"  
and the documentation is sometimes out of date (for example, at the moment  
it is not possible to get the source code with lily-git.tcl , so the "quick  
start" intructions will not work!).

I really prefer to pair up new contributors with experienced mentors, to  
avoid new contributors feeling discouraged by spending hours trying to  
figure out how to do something.  See here for more information:

You certainly know more about C++ than Janek, but I still think it would be  
good to have contact with him -- even if you never ask him anything, simply  
knowing that there is somebody available can help a lot.
