Here's a run from my 64-bit Ubuntu install:

$ lilypond lytest.ly
GNU LilyPond 2.14.1
Processing `lytest.ly'
Parsing...
Interpreting music...
Preprocessing graphical objects...
Finding the ideal number of pages...
Fitting music on 1 page...
Drawing systems...
Layout output to `lytest.ps'...
Converting to `./lytest.pdf'...
success: Compilation successfully completed
