I agree that David was a bit sarcastic.  However, I note that the
download page *does* have such a hint:
http://lilypond.org/macos-x.html
"MacOS X 10.7 Lion is not yet supported."

I think the solution here is not to have incredibly overworked and
stressed developers answering bug emails.  Unfortunately, we
sometimes have problems finding volunteers to handle bug emails,
so some developers have gotten into the habit of answering user
emails instead of just ignoring them.
