http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1967The simplified example should simply generate one slur for the chords. Slurs are practically never printed for individual notes of chords. For vocal voices, there are only double slurs if the voices are printed separately (voiceOne and voiceTwo) rather than chorded.
The same also holds for most other articulations.
