Thanks for reporting that, David.

In order for us to fix the pre-defined mandolin fretboard diagrams
you'll have to supply accurate information about what is wrong with
them.

Ideally, that information would be an example of correct fretboard
diagrams from a reputable source.

Is it possible that there are many "standard" tunings for the mandolin,
and these diagrams show a tuning that is different from what you
expected? If that is the case, please consult the docs for information
on how to use your own tunings.

Also, you might like to look at these two issue trackers for Lilypond
that are related to fretboard diagrams for the mandolin.

I believe this one led to the creation of the diagrams you see in the
docs today:

I hope that some of the players of fretted instruments who read
