But you still have the logical problem that a \lyricsto context can only end when the _next_ music expression has been encountered and then this expression will not be encountered _again_ by the \lyricsto context starting after it. So putting them right after another is going to lead to surprises. The timing of \lyricsto contexts often involves perceived delays like with the properties governing melismata.
