Did you run `autogen.sh' to build your configure script? If not,
everything else will be quite broken.

Redhat 6.2 is about 2 years old, so is not a particularily good base
to work from. I strongly recommend Debian, since it's quite easy to
keep up to date.
And also you can get mailutils by just typing `apt-get install
mailutils' =)
