I am having two problems with current mailutils and mutt. Your mileage
may vary, but you might want to just try this yourself.
There was a bug in the handling of INBOX, but that got fixed, and
then sieve could write messages to an imap server, I don't remember
if I tried it with mutt.
1)
Can't close an imap connection, I believe this has been introduced
recently, but I'm not sure:
> a0005 NOOP^M
< a0005 OK NOOP Completed
mutt_index_menu[547]: Got op 138
> a0006 CLOSE^M
imap_cmd_step: Error while reading server response, closing connection.
imap_exec: command failed:
CLOSE failed []
2)
Can't save to an imap folder.
I get asked this when I try:
Create INBOX? ([yes]/no):
mutt trace just says:
< * OK IMAP4rev1 GNU mailutils 0.0.9c
> a0000 CAPABILITY^M
< * CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 NAMESPACE
< a0000 OK CAPABILITY Completed
> a0001 LOGIN "sam" "sam"^M
< a0001 OK LOGIN Completed
> a0002 LIST "" ""^M
< * LIST (\NoSelect) "/" ""
< a0002 OK LIST Completed
Delimiter: /
> a0003 STATUS "INBOX" (UIDVALIDITY)^M
< * STATUS INBOX (UIDVALIDITY 1014584808 )
imap_cmd_step: Error while reading server response, closing connection.
