Hi Jordi,
Here's a short summary regarding the latest two bug reports:
* address@hidden: Bug#205613]
> [GNU mail] 1. Prompts for Cc before Subject
> [mailx] 2. Prompts for Cc before message
Fixed. Now that depends on the setting of `mailx' variable. When set,
the standard mailx behavior (2) is emulated. By default mail behaves
as in (1).
> 3. Does not end message with '.' on a line by itself (only EOF)
That's the default behavior. It could be changed by altering
the variables `dot' and `ignoreeof'.
> 4. Interrupt at first prompt goes to second prompt, which must then be
interrupted twice in order to exit (mailx exits after two
interrupts)
I didn't get quite the same behavior with the version of mailx I have
(the one from Slackware 8.1). Here's what I had:
With mailx from Slackware 8.1:
address@hidden:~$ mailx address@hidden
Subject: <-- Pressing Ctrl-C
<-- Ctrl-C again
(Interrupt -- one more to kill letter)
<-- Ctrl-C again
address@hidden:~$
With GNU mail (CVS snapshot):
Mirddin:$ mail address@hidden
Subject: <-- Ctrl-C *twice* --> (Interrupt -- one more to kill letter)
<-- Ctrl-C again
Mirddin:$
In other words, the main difference was the absence of a newline after
pressing the first Ctrl-C. I've fixed it.
> 5. Exits nonzero when interrupted, mailx exits zero
Fixed: when `mailx' is set, mail exits with zero status no matter what the
result of the send command was.
* address@hidden: Bug#205828]
Fixed.
Waiting for more bugs :^)

Sergey
