This is not a bug report, but a request for information.
I believe that this would be helpful information for a goodly number of people.

I am traveling this weekend and would like to access mail on a global gmail 
mail account. It looks as if sending could also be done remotely.

  Has anyone on the list done this with gmail using mailutils?
