This isn't a problem with GNU make.
Make just runs your compiler with whatever arguments the makefile says,
and it's doing that correctly as far as I can tell.
If the compiler can't compile the code, then that's a matter for
discussion with the authors of the makefile or the code or, remotely
possible, the compiler.
It looks to me like you have a broken compiler installation and/or
system headers.
At any rate, it's not a problem with GNU make.
