Is there any chance that ISO-8859-2 will be supported any time soon??
Sort answer: no.
ISO-8859-2 is too different from ISO-8859-15 (~60 characters). Every new
character interferes the recognizing of old ones, and every new
character has to be implemented by hand. It is just too much work and
too much trouble for me.
Perhaps a small subset (about 6) of non-conflictive characters ('latin
capital letter s with acute' or similar) could be implemented for
version 0.10 if you tell me what characters and send me some good scans
of texts containing them. But only if such partial support is useful for
enough people.
Best regards,
Antonio Diaz.
