I understand your confusion, but I'm not. I'm talking about an IBM RS/6000,
and the firmware uses partitions of type 0x41 on DOS partition maps to boot
from. My previous claims about needing 0x41 still stand. :)
('set N boot on' works wonderfully on Macs with ybin; thanks!)
