Good day,
I recently got a Toshiba Satellite laptop running XP (my first computer). I
am trying to partition the 30Gb hard drive (fat 32) to make room for linux.
I've given up on fips for now because I suspect I have some hidden files at
the end of the partition stopping me resizing it and I'm a bit scared of
changing their attributes. Instead I am trying to use parted.
I have made the two floppies, partboot and partroot OK. When I run partroot
it starts up OK, I hit enter, good looking things start streaming up the
screen and then it stops, the last four lines are:
Highpoint HPT370 Softwareraid driver for linux version 0.01
No raid array found
SCSI subsystem driver Revision: 1.00
sim 710: No NCR53C710 adapter found.
It doesn't respond to anything and I have no option but to cut the power.
Any Ideas?
Cheers,
James
