Hello,

I have added amiga partitioning support for parted. I attach the patch
for it here.

I have fully tested this patch on both x86 and powerpc myself, and it
has also been tested on m68k. The patch has been announced and tested by
the linux-m68k, the linux-apus and the pegasos community since more or
less two month now, so should be pretty bugless.

The only thing i am not so sure about is the PedExceptionType and
PedExceptionOptions used, so if anyone has guidelines or advice on how
to best use them, it will be welcome.

I already informed Andrew Clausen about this, but he is busy and asked
me to send the patch here. I also have done the paperwork needed to
assign the copyright of this to the FSF-US.

I am also working on a patch for amiga filesystem support, which already
supports for detection of the various FFS and muFS filesystems, as well
as support for probing of SFS and PFS. I plan to add nextly more ample
support for the SFS and FFS filesystems family, but not PFS as it is
proprietary, i don't really have access to it nor to the specs.

One problem related to that is that the Amiga filesystems make usage of
some information found in the partition table entries : sector size,
number of reserver blocks at the start and the end of the filesystem,
dostype, etc. This information is needed in order to probe the
filesystems, and also for the other operations. We were not able to
agree with Andrew on the best way to pass this information from the
partition table code to the filesystem code though.

Friendly,

Sven Luther
