anyone using Debian around ??

Hey people,

The kernel 2.6.x series use /dev/root to identify the rootdevice instead
of the /proc/sys/kernel/real-root-dev file.

Now someone told me on Debian this isn't called /dev/root, but
/dev2/root2 ... Can anyone confirm/deny this? It can be important since
this symlink is used by libparted to check if the partition is mounted.
