Hi there,
I have installed qtparted on an iMac dvse (G3 500mhz) running Ubuntu
linux. The package(s) was installed using Synaptic. I open a root
terminal and execute qtparted and the gui starts OK The following
message appears on my root terminal:

 Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the
authenti cation protocols specified are supported and host-based
authentication failed

When I select hda the following message appears:

a dialog box opens saying "critical error during ped_disk_duplicate"

and in my root terminal:
Error: Unable to satisfy all constraints on the partition.
A bug has been detected in GNU parted.  Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.9) and the following
message:Assertion (!disk->update_mode) at ../../libparted/disk.c:322 in
function ped_disk_destroy() failed.
