Always reproducible on my HP DL320 with scsi attached
MSA20 (sata raid) and GNU Parted 1.7.0rc5

Let me know if can provide any further info.

Here I go:

(parted) p

Disk /dev/cciss/c0d0: 1250GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: msdos

Number Start End Size Type File system
Flags
 1 32.3kB 1000GB 1000GB primary ext3

(parted) resize 1 32.3kB 1250GB
[33] ext2.c:686 (ext2_determine_itoffset): start = 0,
it = 62
[33] ext2.c:686 (ext2_determine_itoffset): start =
32768, it = 32830
[33] ext2.c:686 (ext2_determine_itoffset): start =
65536, it = 65598
Warning: A resize operation on this file system will
use EXPERIMENTAL code that MAY CORRUPT it (although it
hasn't done so yet). You should at least backup your
data and run 'e2fsck -f' afterwards.
