Bugs item #304219, was opened at 2007-03-30 10:31
Status: Open
Priority: 3
Submitted By: Nobody (None)
Assigned to: Nobody (None)
Summary: 'parted -s' cannot create file systems any more
Category: parted
Group: None
Resolution: None
Initial Comment:
A 'parted -s' command to create a file system results in a warning message,
exits immediately, and does nothing. For example:
# parted -s /dev/hda mkfs 5 ext2
Warning: The existing file system will be destroyed and all data on the
partition will be lost. Do you want to continue?
This used to work in 1.7.1, but not any more since at least 1.8.2.
