OK, I'm bailing on the debugging because parted-debuginfo isn't signed and 
won't install. :-\

du reports it does from 620M to 595M. The contents of AppleBoot, while jhfs+ 
based, are several disk images which contain the bootable OS, so there may not 
be much to save.

565M is the final size here. I'm uploading to dropbox and will post a public
