I got this message when trying to merge an svn repo to its git fork, using
output from svn diff as input to patch:
missing header for unified diff at line 5 of patch
patch: pch.c:621: intuit_diff_type: Assertion `i0 != NONE' failed.
Aborted
I isolated the relevant fragment in the attached file. Just run patch -Np1 <
crash.diff , you don't need the patched file to actually exist.
Tested on patch 2.5.9 from current ubuntu and gentoo.
