I would like to point out a possibly confusing behaviour in tar, which
does not seem to be documented in the tar info page.
If you run (for example):
1. tar -cg list -f arc1.tar somedir
and then run
2. tar -cg list -f arc2.tar somedir someotherdir
then only the contents of someotherdir that were created since the
first command will be placed into arc2.tar
I know this is very logical behaviour, but it may catch someone who is
writing a backup script out (like it did me).

I tried to do an evil thing, and send a fake to all my friends.
The fake message was bounced, and the error message said,
"Server response: 553 we don't love you".
