[Bug-tar] Problem with Gnu tar version 1.13 on Hp-UX 11.00

Hi,

 

I have just installed GNU Tar utility version "1.13 (stable) released on 1999-07-08" on my HP-Unix 11.00

 

It works fine with less than 2GB files,but with larger files it throws ane error and comes out with the following error,

 

# /usr/local/bin/tar -tvzf _big_file.tar.gz

tar (child): Cannot open archive _big_file.tar.gz: Value too large
 to be stored in data type
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
/usr/local/bin/tar: Child returned status 2
/usr/local/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

 

More Information on that filesytem is ,

 

Largefiles is enabled and ulimit also shows unlimited for that filesystem.

 

Could you please look into this problem?
