Subject: | [Bug-tar] Some kind of bug in tar utility.... |
Date: | Mon, 23 Aug 2004 15:59:12 -0400 |
Hi! When
I attempt to decompress the tar achieve file, it worked fine but problems are
noticeable. Upon further inspection, it is found that when I did the
compression using the tar utility, it left out a few files and a few other files
was placed in the wrong file path. This would explain the problem.
For some reason, when compressing and decompressing them (files/directories),
there were no errors that were spitted out to the screen. So, I
downloaded the latest version and the help a little bit but the problem is
still there. I’m using the latest version at 1.14 which I
downloaded from www.gnu.org. Tell
me what I need to do to help you with the bug reports? I would like to
have this working whenever possible. Thanks, |
