[Bug-tar] tar -[0-7][lmh] ?

Hi,

I searched in many man pages, websites, FAQ, mailing-lists, etc. about TAR 
option to specify tape drive
properties -[0-7][lmh] but nowhere I can find how to use this option.

Could you explain how it work ? (Add the information in the man pages and in 
your HTML online manual).

Probably 0 to 7 specify the tape format, but which ? And l,m, or h are special 
definitions.

This option could be interesting with tape drives but nobody know how to use it 
!
