The company I work with is using the tar.exe version 1.11 and it has been built after some modification to the tar code. However, this older tar version is unable to handle file size greater than 2 GB.I would like to down load the latest tar.exe ver 1.18 to correct the same : However , There is no link available to download the tar.exe. All the links on the net , point to the tar source code and am notfamiliar with c to compile and use it. Could some one please mail me theGNU tar.exe version 1.18 for windows if you have already built it.
The Cygwin [1] and MinGW [2] projects may provide recent Windows binaries, try one of those.
