You need to substitute more-recent versions of Gnulib's stdio-impl.h. Possibly the simplest thing to do would be to wait for the next tar release, which I hope will be soon and will contain Android-related fixes in this area. Alternatively you could download the bleeding-edge sources and give them a whirl. See:
