Hello,
please consider applying this patch to the GNU Emacs CVS. It fixes
arguments of error calls which should not end with a period (should the end
with `!' ?) according to doc-string of error:
,----
| In Emacs, the convention is that error messages start with a capital
| letter but *do not* end with a period. Please follow this convention
| for the sake of consistency.

* textmodes/texnfo-upd.el: remove dots and `!' at the end of error
arguments.

You don't go back to using vi because "Emacs is too complicated". Only
people with serious mental defects "go back to vi".
