You are free to do whatever, but according to the web site of
texi2html it is superseeded by makeinfo from texinfo package.
THis one is actively maintained, in constrast to texi2html.
I would recommend droping texi2html from Debian.
(PS, I am the maintainer of texinfo in Debian ;-)
