Subject: [VCDImager Bugs/Devel] Mpeg2 is not Mpeg2 ... help with SVCD Mpeg2 Streams please ...!

Hi everybody ... this is off topic ...but just a little ... so bear with me.

Here's the story:

I encoded an mpeg2 stream with 4 encoder products to test the quality.
I encoded without sound to save time on muxing the audio and video later.

Now here's the story ... neither Nero nor I-Author (both are programs to
produce a SVCD on WinDoze)
regarded the resulting mpeg2 files as 'vaild' mpeg2 streams and refused to
cooperate :( :(!

I rechecked the files with 'BitRate.exe' (program to display stream
properties) and it was no problem loading the files or displaying the
bitrate.
I rechecked with Elcard mpeg2 player (software) and everythink was fine as
well (played okay)
I rechecked with my Hollywood+ HW-Decoder ... and you guess it ...
everything was fine as well!

So what is the point here .... I don't get it.
Are there any file headers that have to be present in a SVCD stream?

Where can I get the specs?

Thanks for everyone who lightens up my path
