hello!

...it's been quite some time since the last release came out because
coding get's a bit more difficult the higher the temperature rises ;-)

...but then, this release contains quite a bit of changes... =)

I hope I didn't screw up and introduced some major show stopper while
fixing bugs and making a few enhancements; it's the 0.7.x branch, so
you have been warned ;)

I have also updated the manual a bit, I hope the ps/pdf versions
became a bit more readable... feedback is welcomed!; Michael Tam wrote
some neat introductory article about vcdimager's XML format, check it
out at

Over the last weeks two major issues came up;

*) don't use 'nero' for burning bin/cue images; it seems (if you want
   to help investigate, feel free to get into contact with me) to
   screw up the TOC, and causes sector references in the vcd files to
   become invalid...

*) there are a few software and hardware player which require an
   (empty) /SEGMENT dir, to recognize a SVCD; vcdimager/vcdxbuild does
   only create such a directory if segment items are defined,
   otherwise it is not created (this is done to strictly match the
   specs)...

*) If your Yamakawa 715/713 (eventually w/ modified firmware) didn't
   like 0.7.x made SVCD's but worked with 0.6.2 made ones, this
   release may be able to create KISS54/A2-firmware-compatible SVCD's
   again...
