Thank you for your
program, its the only success I've ever had at getting FF/RW to work on
my
Philips 751
DVD. I think its fair to say that it does produce working images so you
can add it
to your list of
compatible players.
One thing
though. I am encoding a DVD stream with CCE, then using bbmpeg to spilt
the file and
add SVCD scan
offsets. I then burn an image from VCDimager, 0.6.2 or 0.7.7
with cdrdao.
The FF/RW appears
to work but
not properly. I can FF/RW fine up to 5 mins (not realtime,
the clock
runs slower on the my DVD player & Power DVD than it should) then the player will
reset if I try to FF
past 5 mins. I can FF/RW ok in Power DVD but not on my DVD
player.
If I try to rewind
from say, 29 mins in it jumps straight back to 4:50. The fact
that FF/RW
works perfectly
under five minutes leads me to believe that the references on the disk
at
29 mins are pointing
to sector addresses in the 5 mins range. Is this a problem with
bbmpeg
or
vcdimager?
Any ideas on a
workaround? I can send you my SVCD image with these
characteristics
if you like
800Mb (mail or post?). I would greatly appreciate finding out
what the problem is
here
as it is
annoying. Jumping around by typing in the time directly does
work.
Thank you for any
help, and I hope this may help iron out any problems with the
process,
Steve
