[VCDImager Bugs/Devel] What am I doing wrong?

Hi!

First of all, thanks for a great effort. I love the opportunity to author my own VCDs.

I have a Pioneer DV626-D player, which is capable of playing VCDs and has PCB support.

I have downloaded the demovcd-pal (v0.3 of 29-Oct-2001) which works great in the DVD player. I even burned the bin/cue with Nero v5.5.10.0 on my Lite-On (LTR-40125S, ZS0P) CD-RW drive.

I use VCDEasy v1.1.4 to produce cue/bin, as I haven't tried the new option to have CDRDAO burn using the Nero ASPI layer drivers. And the combination worked great with the demovcd.

When I try the most simple thing like adding a few 704x576 Mpeg Stills (VCD 2.0, PAL, High, Apply 4/3 Correction, Spline resize, Full Mpeg quality and 0% TV Cropping) I get a VCD that plays fine on my friends DVD players and when played with InterVideo WinDVD off a CD drive, just not on my Pioneer DVD player.

What is different in my authored VCDs compared to the demovcd?

I've tried to add the CDI directory with the three files in it, but it made no difference.

I've attached the XML file of my project, which is a VCD with a main menu (704x576 picture) with the option to press either 1, 2 or 3.

1 selects a range of pictures (704x576) of an Alfa Romeo Brera, each picture with a 10 sec timeout. Last timeout leads back to the main menu.

2 selects a range of pictures (704x576) of an Koenigsegg CC, each picture with a 10 sec timeout. Last timeout leads back to the main menu.

3 selects a PAL MPEG movie of the Koenigsegg CC, on timeout focus goes back to the main menu.

I hopy you can help me identify what the difference is between the demovcd and my VCDs.

Best Regards
Mogens Beltoft
