I used xnee to record a software demo and had some timing issues arise.
I had an accompanying narration audio track which I played while I
recorded the appropriate actions with xnee to synchronize the two.
The problem was that on playback xnee timing seems to be off by
a factor somewhere around 1%. It plays slower than what was recorded.
That doesn't sound like much, but over a longish demo it becomes very
distracting.
I tried correcting this with the replay speed, but couldn't get enough
granularity (replay speed percentage only takes an integer?) to correct
it.
Different replay attempts did have consistent timing, although the timing
drift doesn't seem to be linear over the demo - it seemed to jump suddenly
by a few seconds.
I'm running Linux and the cpu utilization was fairly high, if that might
be related.
