Looks like an unrevised BSD license.
Legally ok, but semantically inconsistent because listing the
copyright holder is in some way advertising too.

They won't sue you because of a patch.
They won't even sue me if i do not comply.
But for the overall project a clean license situation is important.

I already have a test bed. Possibly i rather re-write the function
instead of adding a brain damaged license.
To our luck we don't deal with patents here.

I got a problem with GPLv3 in libisofs.
On the long run i'd like to release the libraries under LGPL.
libisofs copyright is currently clean for that. Only libburn is still
glued to GPLv2+.
