[Bug-zile] Branch Synchronisation

Subject: [Bug-zile] Branch Synchronisation

I've made sure that all of the patches I have applied to Zile
are now in place on all 3 active branches (master, lua, zi), so
everything is at least superficially synchronised, with the
exception of ba8dd42 "make sure we translate curses BACKSPACE to
Zile \C-h", as it wasn't entirely clear what the best way to
make the equivalent change in C should be.

I did pull some of Reuben's simplest recent patches from master,
and port to lua and zi, but the bulk of the work to port the
deeper changes that have happened in isolation on master over
the last few months is still undone.

I'll be happy to help out where I can, but I don't know my way
around C Zile at all, so it will be slow going indeed if left
in my hands!

I've also broken the test suite trivially in lua, because the
emacs tests don't match the output of describe-function any-
more, now that lua doesn't try to claim that functions were
defined in "C Source". =)O| Fixing that is next on my TODO
list.

Cheers,
