Comment:

 Thank you for reporting this.  I've decided to defer to the core's
 predicate when it's not a number. That way, it's always consistent with
 whatever version of CHICKEN you're running (ie, on 4.8.0 it won't accept
 unquoted vector literals but on 4.8.2 it will)

 This will probably be released when numbers is updated for the other r7rs
 stuff.
