Alexander Shendi has caught a failure in apply-tests with the 4.9.0rc1
tarball on OpenBSD 5.4, x86-64, clang 3.3. See
http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/chicken-users/2014-04/msg00103.html
for more details.
I could reproduce that behavior, and noticed it is intermittent -- most of
times apply-tests crash, but sometimes it works.
Everything seems to work fine if we use GCC 4.2.1 to build the 4.9.0rc1
tarball on the same system.
